The Settings Page is primarily used by Admin users. Let's review each section in this part of your Billy account.

Profile

The Profile tab has your personal information including your First Name and Last Name.

This is accessible to all roles (Admin, Standard, & Read Only).

Security

The Security tab holds all of your security settings. You can easily update your Billy sign-in settings here including updating your email address and changing your password.

This is accessible to all roles (Admin, Standard, & Read Only).

If you are ever locked out of your account, please contact support@billyforinsurance.com for assistance.

Team

The Team tab holds your company’s information. You can change your company logo, company name, phone number, address, and number of employees.

Sender Signature

The email portion of this page is important! This is our Sender Signature feature. This is a proprietary technology that allows Billy to deliver emails to your vendors on your behalf. With this feature, emails to your vendors will be sent from the provided email address instead of from a Billy email. This increases the adoption of Billy with your vendors.

To enable Sender Signature, enter the preferred correspondence email address and switch the toggle to the on position. This will allow Billy to send emails from the email address provided.

Note: To complete activation, you must click “Confirm Sender Signature” in the email you will receive from support@postmarkapp.com.

Users

The Users tab is where you can easily invite teammates to your account. To add a teammate click “Invite User” and enter the first name, last name, email address and role. Selecting a role is how you can dictate the permissions you want to provide this user. Learn more about Permissions in this help center article.

The newly created user will be sent an invitation via email and will be asked to choose a password upon signing up.

PRO TIP:

Users added to your account will receive email alerts every time a vendor uploads a certificate. If you add a teammate and would like their email alerts disabled, please have the user let us know in the in-app chat or via email at support@billyforinsurance.com.

Legal Entities

Next is the Legal Entities tab, where you can establish other Legal Entities that can be assigned to projects in your account.

Examples

Your Billy Team name is 'Page Development LLC dba BP Construction' but you want your Project information and all Billy correspondence emails to reflect only 'BP Construction'.

Your company has a different Legal Entity for each Project:
Project 1's Legal Entity is BP Investments LLC
Project 2's Legal Entity is 808 Investments LLC
Project 2's Legal Entity is Page Investments LLC

Legal Entities on New Projects

When creating a new Project in Billy you will now see the dropdown for Legal Entity. After your enter your Project name choose a Legal Entity from the dropdown and click Save.

Legal Entities on Existing Projects

You can add and edit Legal Entities on existing Projects as well.

Head to your Projects page and navigate to the Project you would like to change. Within the Project, use the three dot kebab menu and choose Edit Project Details. From the Edit Project modal you can choose a Legal Entity from the dropdown list and click Save.

Legal Entities on Procore Integrated Projects

The workflow for adding/editing Legal Entities on Procore-integrated projects is the same as above.

Head to your Projects page and navigate to the Project you would like to change. Within the Project, use the three-dot kebab menu and choose Edit Project Details. From the Edit Project screen, you can choose a Legal Entity from the dropdown list and click Save.

Requirement Groups

The Requirement Groups tab is where the magic happens! We understand that construction can have project-specific and sometimes vendor-specific groups of insurance requirements. This is exactly what Requirement Groups are for.

During implementation, your Partner Success Specialist established your default requirement group (aka your system default group). These are the requirements you see across most of your projects and vendors. Should you need to make changes for a new project or vendor, copy the default requirement group to start building a new set of requirements without starting from ground zero!

Check out this help center article (including a quick how-to video) to learn more about how to create and use project- and vendor-level requirement groups.

Additional Insureds

This is where you set the Additional Insured parties you use across ALL of your projects. If you need to set project-specific additional insureds, this is accomplished within the project additional insured tab.

Sample Documents

This is where you set the Sample Documents you use across ALL of your projects. If you need to set project-specific sample documents, this is accomplished within the project additional insured tab.

Connected Apps

This is where you set up your Procore integration. Use the steps in this help center article to set up your Procore integration.
