Automatic Exchange Integrations can be created by entering an API key and secret once. Your transactions and balances are then imported automatically into your Blockpit Integration.
At a glance
👁️ You need an API key and secret from your exchange account. The asset balance should be visible shortly; importing all transactions can take up to several hours. If your exchange is not in the list, there is no automatic import for it yet.
🔒 Blockpit only needs read access (read-only). With a read-only key, Blockpit can retrieve data but cannot execute trades or withdraw money. When you create the key, enable only “Read” and leave trading and withdrawals disabled.
Adding an automatic Exchange Integration
In order to enter your data, you must first create an Integration.
To do so, navigate to the menu item Integrations in your Dashboard and click on +Integration.

You can choose between Exchange, Wallet, Blockchain and Manual Integration.
Select Exchange and then an exchange from the list.
If you could not find your exchange in the list, the automatic import is not yet available. In this case, you will need to import your data into a Manual Integration, following our instructions.
Name your new Integration accordingly.
To import data into an Exchange Integration, you need your API key and the secret from your Exchange account. Please follow the instructions in Blockpit or the specific guide to get your API key and secret.
Copy them into the input fields in the window for creating a new Integration.
Tip:Keep "First Transaction" (Full History) as the default start date. Selecting a specific start date only makes sense if you want to add transactions that are before the start date manually.
Finally, click on Continue to save your new Integration.
💡 The asset balance of your new account should be the first thing you see.
The import of all transactions can take up to a few hours.
2️⃣ When using subaccounts, each subaccount must be imported into a separate Blockpit Integration. To do this, you must create a new Blockpit Integration using a special subaccount API key.
What happens next, and where do I see it?
The integration appears in the tab Integrations. The asset balance is visible shortly; importing all transactions can take up to several hours. You load new transactions later with the sync icon 🔄 of the integration or with Sync All.
✨ Blockpit Plus: If you do not want to start every integration yourself, Blockpit synchronizes your exchange and wallet integrations once a day automatically with Plus. You can always start the sync of a single integration via the 🔄 icon for free. You find Plus in the Shop.
Subaccounts, missing exchange and missing transactions
If your exchange is not in the list, automatic import is not available yet. Import your data into a Manual Integration as described in that guide.
If you use subaccounts, each subaccount needs its own Blockpit integration, created with a dedicated subaccount API key. A subaccount is not the same as a sub-integration: that arises on blockchains through Stake Transfer or DeFi Transfer.
If the balance is already there but transactions are still missing, the import is probably still running (up to several hours).
Typical mistakes
✗ Chose a specific start date instead of Full history → transactions before the start date are missing and have to be added manually
✗ Put several subaccounts into one integration → each subaccount needs its own integration with its own subaccount API key
✗ Exchange not found, but waited for an API import anyway → without an entry in the list there is no automatic import
