How Deposit Release Works

Deposits are not released automatically when your rental ends. You must request the release yourself in the Bluedot for Fleets app.

Once a release is requested, the deposit will be returned to your bank within 1–3 business days, depending on your bank’s processing time.

⚠️ Important: After a deposit is released, you cannot use the Bluedot for Fleets app for charging until a new deposit is made.

How to Request a Deposit Release

  1. Open the Profile tab in the Bluedot for Fleets app.

  2. Select Payment & Billing.

  3. Tap EV Charging Deposit.

  4. Choose Request Release.

When Can I Request a Release?

You can request a release if:

  • At least 2 days have passed since your last vehicle assignment ended.

  • At least 5 days have passed since your last deposit payment.

  • You may also request a release before your rental ends, as long as the above timing conditions are met.

Conditions for Release

Your deposit will only be released if:

  • All charging invoices are fully paid.

  • No active or faulty charging sessions remain unresolved.

  • The timing conditions above are met.

If any of these conditions are not met, the deposit will remain on hold until they are resolved.

What Happens After Requesting a Release?

  • The system reviews your charging activity, invoices, and timing conditions.

  • If all conditions are met, the deposit is released.

  • You’ll receive a push and email notification once the release is completed.

Tip: If you plan to continue using the app, you may prefer to keep your deposit in place to avoid re-depositing before your next charging session.
