How to Use the Home Charging Reimbursement Feature
Are you a fleet manager looking for an easy and convenient way to reimburse your drivers for at-home charging? Look no further! Our Home Charging Reimbursement feature allows your drivers to take their assigned vehicles home and charge at their convenience, without having to worry about expensing the charges back to you. We automatically track your driver's at-home charging sessions and provide you with a summary of the data to reimburse them every month. In this article, we will walk you through how to use this feature and make your fleet management process even smoother.
How it Works
The Home Charging Reimbursement feature is available for all fleet managers to use. It allows you to set the rates for your drivers and turn on the feature via your dashboard. Once activated, the feature will automatically track your driver's at-home charging sessions and provide you with a summary of the data to reimburse them every month. This eliminates the need for your drivers to manually track and expense their at-home charging, making the process more efficient for both you and your drivers.
This feature can only be used on vehicles with Geotab connection.
Activating the Feature
Activating the Home Charging Reimbursement feature is quick and easy. Just follow these simple steps:
Go to your Drivers section on the left-hand side menu
Click on your driver's name and it will open up the driver detail page
On the bottom right you will see “Home Charging Reimbursement Status”
You will need to toggle this on and it will show 'Active'
Once activated, you will be able to set the fixed electricity rate you’d like associated to this drivers home charging details.
That's it! The Home Charging Reimbursement feature is now activated for that specific driver. You can repeat these steps for each driver in your fleet that you want to reimburse for at-home charging.
