While team members have the ability to edit and send the completed report to the customer directly from the app, technicians do not have permission to edit or send the report once it is finalized.
How do I complete an inspection report?
To access the inspection report, open the Boatyard Pro app on your device and log in with your credentials. Once logged in, navigate to your job or order and select the "Inspection" section.
Team members and technicians can both fill out the inspection report using the app. Simply click on the + button to start a report and begin filling out the required information. The app lets you easily add notes, photos, and other details to the report.
What does the AI Assist do?
When editing a report in the Pro app or in the dashboard, you may encounter spelling or grammar errors that need to be corrected. Fortunately, the AI Assist feature can help you with this task. Not only can it correct spelling and grammar, but it can also refine descriptions to make them more professional, clear, and concise.
To use AI Assist, simply click on the edit icon next to the concern or message that you wish to edit. Then click on the AI Assist button and allow us to perform our magic!
Once you are satisfied with the changes, click on the "Save" button to save your edits.
Is the inspection report sent to my customer?
The inspection report is not automatically sent to your customer. The report is saved to the job and/or order, which can then be reviewed, edited, and sent to the customer.
Team members have the ability to edit and send the report to the customer directly from the app. Once the report is complete, click on it in the Pro app to make any necessary changes. Once you are satisfied with the report, click on the "Send" button to send it to the customer.
Technicians, on the other hand, cannot edit or send the report once they have completed it. This ensures that the report remains accurate and unchanged.
How will I know if my customer has requested an estimate?
You will receive a notification when your customer requests an estimate. Click on the notification to view the report, which shows which items they requested an estimate for.
You will also see that the report's status in your dashboard has changed. It now says "Estimate Requested."
Are the concerns automatically added to my order?
No, we don't automatically add anything to the order. When a customer requests an estimate, you decide whether to add those items to your existing order or create a new one.
