Quickly find what you're looking for

Navigate to library categories

On wider browser windows, a 'Quick Link' navigation toolbar appears in the center of your screen. Click on any library category in this toolbar to instantly jump to that section, saving you time and effort when managing extensive library lists.

Note: If you do not have a domain license you will not see Central libraries on your menu. You can read the support article to learn more.

Search by library name

To quickly find and open a specific library, click the search option in the navigation bar and begin typing the library's name. You will see a list of all libraries that partially match your text. Click the library name to open it directly.

Organize your dashboard to meet your needs

Quick sort

Libraries can be sorted alphabetically or by their creation date. These sorts are applied within their respective host categories. To use this feature, click on the quick sort option and choose your preferred order. Your selection will be automatically applied.

Custom ordering with drag and drop

For greater control over your library arrangement, use the drag-and-drop feature to create a custom order.

Using a mouse:

  1. Hover your cursor over the library you want to move; the cursor will change to show four arrows.

  2. Click and hold the left mouse button, then drag the library to your desired location.

  3. Release the mouse button, and your library will drop into place. The sort order will automatically change to 'Custom'.

Using a touch screen or keyboard navigation:

  1. Select the library's three-dot menu.

  2. Select 'Move to'.

  3. Select the new position for the library and click 'Move'.

Note: You cannot drag and drop libraries across different library categories. If you apply a quick sort option while a custom sort is in place, you will be prompted to confirm the changes before the custom sort is overridden.

Personalize each library's appearance with icons and colors

To quickly identify a library at a glance or to help students recognize a specific library, you can personalize it with icon and color combinations.

To change a library icon:

  1. Click on the library icon and the icon picker and color picker menu will open.

  2. Choose your favorite icon and color.

  3. Click anywhere on the blue background to automatically save your changes.

The student experience

Students who can access your shared library on their 'My libraries' menu will see your chosen icon, helping them quickly recognize which library to open.

The co-teacher experience

For teachers you've added as members or co-teachers, your shared library will be clearly displayed with the icon you've chosen.

Note: In cases where no icon is set for your library, joined members will see your avatar; if no avatar is present, they will see your initials.

Managing library settings

You can quickly check and change the settings for a library by clicking on the 3 dot menu. The settings control will open directly allowing you to make changes without leaving the libraries page.

Managing library publishing

You can check and change the published status of a library by clicking on the 3 dot menu. The publishing control will open directly, allowing you to make changes without leaving the library page. You can find out more on publishing a whole library here.
