It's easy to add a link to a page in Book Creator. What's more, a link can take the reader to an external web address or a page within the book.

πŸ’¬ Note: Hyperlinks are enabled in Book Creator in Read Mode and editing mode.

Add hyperlinks to text

Book Creator online

Step 1: Add text to the page by selecting the + button and selecting Text. The Text Editor modal will appear on the screen.

Step 2: In the text editor, use the cursor to highlight the word that you would like the hyperlink.

Step 3: In the box provided, add the URL (web address) or the page number within the book you would like to hyperlink to.

Step 4: Select Done and you'll see the hyperlink is ready as the text is now underlined and blue.

Hyperlink to a page in your book

Adding a hyperlink to another page inside of your book allows users to create an easy Table of Contents, functional presentation, or engaging "Choose your own Path!" story.

Clicking on the text brings the screen to page 31 and displays an image of a little girl holding a computer with her face on it with the sentence "Over 20m students & teachers online, and 40m iPad downloads."

Edit hyperlinks on text

Book Creator online allows users to edit hyperlink text to meet their design needs. To do this, simply open the text editor, use the cursor to highlight the word, and then select the color or format option you want to use.

Add hyperlinks to images

Step 1: Add an image to the page by selecting the + button and selecting Image or by uploading an image file from your computer.

Step 2: Once the image is on the page, select the image and then select the Inspector (i) button to open the image options.

Step 3: In the box under HYPERLINK, add the URL (web address) or the page number within the book you would like to hyperlink to. The hyperlink will automatically save to the image when you click away from the inspector.
