How to add a workout result in Booking Board

What this screen does

The Add Result screen allows you to save a workout result.

You can select the exercise you performed, enter the weight you lifted, and add the number of repetitions completed. Once saved, the result is stored on your profile so you can track your progress over time.

How to open Add Result

  1. Open the Booking Board app.

  2. On the Home screen, tap the floating action button (+) in the bottom-right corner.

  3. Select Add Result (dumbbell icon).

  4. The Add Result screen opens.

You may also be taken directly to this screen from another part of the app, such as an exercise list. In this case, the exercise field may already be filled in.

Add a workout result

1. Select an exercise

The first field is Exercise.

  1. Tap the Exercise field.

  2. Start typing the name of the exercise.

    • Example: “Bench Press” or “Squat”

  3. Select the correct exercise from the dropdown list.

Tips:

  • You can search using the full exercise name or abbreviation.

  • You must select an exercise from the list before saving.

  • If you opened Add Result from an exercise list, the exercise may already be selected.

2. Enter the weight

The second field is Weight in kilos.

Enter the weight you lifted.

Examples:

  • 50

  • 52.5

  • 52,5

The field accepts decimal values.

3. Enter repetitions

The third field is Repetitions.

Enter the number of repetitions you completed.

Examples:

  • 8

  • 12

Only whole numbers should be entered.

4. Save your result

When all fields are completed:

  1. Tap Add at the bottom of the screen.

  2. The app validates your information.

  3. Your workout result is saved.

After saving:

  • The screen closes automatically.

  • You return to the previous screen.

  • Your new result is added.

If you cannot save the result

All three fields are required:

  • Exercise

  • Weight in kilos

  • Repetitions

If something is missing, the app shows “Field is required” under the empty field.

For the Exercise field:

  • Typing a name is not enough.

  • You must select an exercise from the dropdown list.

Troubleshooting

I cannot find my exercise

Try:

  • Checking the spelling

  • Searching using a shorter name

  • Searching by abbreviation

If the exercise is not available, it may not have been created by your gym yet. Contact your gym to request it.

The exercise list does not load

This usually means the app cannot connect to the server.

Try:

  • Checking your internet connection

  • Closing and reopening the app

  • Trying again later

I entered a weight with a comma and it failed

The app supports both:

  • 52.5

  • 52,5

Make sure you only enter numbers and one decimal separator.

I get an error after pressing Add

The app could not save your result.

Try:

  • Checking your internet connection

  • Trying again

If the issue continues, contact your gym.

I want to change the exercise after it was filled in automatically

If the exercise was pre-filled:

  1. Clear the Exercise field.

  2. Start typing the new exercise.

  3. Select the correct exercise from the dropdown.

I saved the wrong result

The Add Result screen does not support editing saved results.

Contact your gym if you need help correcting a result.

The Add button is not visible

The Add button should remain available at the bottom of the screen.

Try:

  • Closing the keyboard by tapping an empty area

  • Scrolling slightly

  • Trying again

Behind the scenes

When you open Add Result:

  1. The app loads available exercises.

  2. Exercises are shown in the search list.

  3. You enter exercise, weight, and repetitions.

  4. You tap Add.

  5. The app validates the information.

  6. The result is saved and returned to the previous screen.
