I created the same category twice

Problem

A duplicate product category has been created.

Possible cause

The system does not prevent the creation of categories with identical names. Double-clicking Create or two separate creations can result in duplicate categories.

Solution

  1. Go to Product categories in the left menu.

  2. Find the duplicate category.

  3. Delete the duplicate, or edit it to something else if you need both.

If the problem persists, contact support and include details about:

  • The category name.

  • When the duplicates were created.
