Can I remove the hold music when the call is searching…?

Written by Quinn Bott

Yes — you can replace the hold music with a dialing tone while a call is searching for an interpreter. LSC Administrators can set a default for all accounts (system level) and override it per account. This article covers both.

Set the default for your organization (system level)

  1. Navigate to Configuration > Company > Calls.

  2. Locate the IVR Searching for Interpreter Sound card and select Edit.

  3. Choose what callers hear during the "searching for interpreter" portion of the call:

    • Music

    • Dialing Tone — when selected, choose a Dialing tone volume of Normal or Quiet.

  4. Select Save.

The IVR Searching for Interpreter Sound setting under Configuration > Company > Calls

Override it for an account (account level)

  1. Navigate to Members > Accounts and open the account.

  2. Select the Routing tab and select Edit.

  3. Update the IVR Searching for Interpreter Sound setting at the bottom of the page, then select Save Changes.

For LSC admins: if the tone isn't changing as expected on calls, reach out to Boostlingo Support with the account name and a screenshot of the setting. If you're unsure how to reach Support, contact your Account Manager.
