Allow Requestors to Select Gender Preference in IVR

How LSC Administrators enable IVR gender preference for requestors at the global or account level.

Written by Quinn Bott

LSC Administrators can let requestors choose their interpreter’s gender when placing a call. The prompt offers Male, Female, or No Preference. This article covers configuring the setting for your organization and per account.

Note: IVR Gender Selection is Off by default. When it’s on, the question is asked as one of the IVR prompts, alongside language selection and pre-call questions. Requestors calling from the mobile app or a browser can indicate a preference within the caller.

1. Navigate to Configuration>Company>Calls.

2. Locate IVR Gender Selection and select Edit.

3. Toggle the setting On or Off, then select Save.

  2. Select the Expand Panel

  3. Select Calling to see Routing tab.

  4. Locate IVR Gender Selection

  • For LSC admins: if the gender prompt isn’t appearing on IVR calls where it should, confirm the setting at both the global and account levels, then reach out to Boostlingo Support with the account name. If you’re unsure how to reach Support, contact your Account Manager.
