In a supported browser, you can choose which connected device Boostlingo uses for audio input, audio output, and video. If you don't choose, Boostlingo defaults to your browser's settings.
Note: Virtual machines may disrupt your ability to connect your audio and video devices to Boostlingo.
Change your devices
Open your caller by clicking the phone icon in the main navigation menu.
2. In the caller, select the gear (settings) icon and click "Caller Settings."
3. In "Caller Settings" you'll see "Audio Input Device", "Audio Output Device", and "Video Device":
"Audio Input Device" is your microphone: how you're heard.
"Audio Output Device" is your speakers: how you hear.
"Video Device" is your camera: how you're seen.
4. Select a device from each dropdown, then select "Apply" to save your changes.
Device Permissions
Sometimes, making a selection shows a browser pop-up asking for permission to access your camera and microphone. Select "Allow" so Boostlingo keeps access. This isn't needed every time, but it happens the first time and can happen again after updates or changes to your browser settings.
Important Note: If your selected devices aren't available or permissions have been blocked, you may not be able to accept calls, or they may be refused.
