Webex Integration - Add an Interpreter to a Meeting

How requestors add an OPI interpreter to a Webex meeting using the InterpretManager app, plus account requirements.

Written by Quinn Bott

Note: Several steps happen in Webex, a third-party application, not in the Boostlingo platform.

Important Note:

  • Requires a paid Webex account using the desktop version of "Webex Meetings" (not the mobile app).

  • Only OPI (audio) calls are supported.

  • Users who sign into Boostlingo via Apple or Google do not have access to this feature.

  • Interpreters cannot dial a third party. Add any third parties directly in Webex as the requestor.

Add an interpreter

  1. Start the Webex meeting and select Apps.

  2. Locate and select the InterpretManager app.

  3. Enter the email you use for InterpretManager and select Next, then enter your password and select Sign in.

  4. In the caller, enter the target language and select Call.

  5. On the next screen, enter the Webex Dial-in Info — select Meeting Info near the top left, copy the details, and select Begin Call.

  6. If you’re part of a Pre-Call policy, fill in the questions, then select Begin Call again.

  7. When an interpreter is ready, select Admit to let them join.

Adding an interpreter via the InterpretManager app in Webex

To dismiss the interpreter, select End Call in the caller (or end the Webex meeting).

Next steps / Getting more help

  • For requestors: if the InterpretManager app isn’t available in Webex, confirm you’re on a paid desktop Webex account and not signed into Boostlingo via Apple/Google, then let your LSC admin know.
