Entity Ownership and Visibility

The concept of owners applies to several critical entities within the Bottleneck Manufacturing Portal, each playing a pivotal role in the manufacturing journey:

Inventory Lots

Assigning owners to Inventory Lots is crucial in determining the visibility of these lots for designated customers. With this classification, only the owner and the Manufacturer Org can access and manage the Inventory Lots on the Brand Portal. This control over visibility ensures that relevant information is shared appropriately and that customers have a clear view of their inventory and its status.

Production Orders

Owners can be designated for Production Orders, representing the customers for whom production runs are initiated. This classification empowers designated customers with visibility into the production progress and related information on the Brand Portal. By providing customers with this insight, they can actively participate in the manufacturing process, stay informed, and collaborate effectively.

Collaboration and Visibility

The concept of owners within the Bottleneck Manufacturing Portal offers several benefits that enhance collaboration and visibility between the Manufacturer Org and their customers:

1. Tailored Visibility

Assigning owners ensures that the right customers have access to relevant entities on the Brand Portal. Each customer can view and interact with their specific orders, work progress, and related information. This tailored visibility fosters transparency and customer satisfaction as customers can stay informed about their unique manufacturing requirements.

2. Efficient Communication

By designating owners with visibility into relevant items, communication between the Manufacturer Org and their customers becomes simpler. Customers can easily track the status of their orders, collaborate with the Manufacturer Org, and address any queries or concerns directly through the Brand Portal. This efficient communication ensures prompt responses and an improved customer experience.

3. Transparency and Accountability

The concept of owners promotes transparency and accountability throughout the manufacturing process. Customers actively participating in the manufacturing journey have a clearer understanding of their orders, ensuring their requirements are met accurately. By maintaining transparency, the Manufacturer Org establishes trust with their customers, fostering a strong and reliable business relationship.

Conclusion

The Bottleneck Manufacturing Portal offers a feature for effective customer relations through the use of the owner field, allowing for tailored visibility and efficient communication between the Manufacturer Org and their customers. Assigning owners to entities such as inventory lots and production orders ensures transparency and accountability throughout the manufacturing process, promoting a strong and reliable business relationship.
