Sharing Passcodes for Protected Ticket Purchases

Learn how to distribute passcodes for passcode protected ticket sales.

Turn on Passcode Protection in an event's Advanced Event Settings to restrict who can buy tickets. With the Standard passcode type, buyers need a unique code that you send from the event's Box Office.

Set up passcode protection before you send passcodes. For how, see Advanced Event Ticket Settings.

Send Passcodes

You need an email address or phone number for each contact you're sending a code to.

  1. Open the event's Box Office.

  2. In the Box Office, find Quick Actions.

  3. In Quick Actions, click Send Comp Tickets, then click Send by Contact.

  4. On the Distribute to Contact page, choose an Option if you want one. An option isn't required when you send codes.

  5. In Contacts, enter each contact's email address or phone number, separated by commas.

  6. Set the Distribution Type to Codes.

  7. Check the details, then click Send.

Each contact receives their code within a few minutes.

Manage Passcodes

Track the codes you've sent on the Passcodes page.

  1. In the event's Box Office, under Quick Actions, click Manage Passcodes. The Passcodes page opens in a new tab.

  2. The list shows each contact's Name and Code, with Available, Redeemed, and Distributed counts. To narrow the list, use the search box or All Options. To export it, click Download CSV.

  3. To remove codes no one has used, click Delete Unused.

Note: Delete Unused removes every unused code at once. You can't delete codes one at a time.
