When a new school year begins, you can copy an existing store and update it for the upcoming year. This saves you from having to recreate your store, products, and settings from scratch.
Step 1: Navigate to Stores
From the Business section, click on Stores in the left sidebar.
Click on the store you want to roll forward to the next year.
Once inside the store, click on the Setup tab at the top of the page.
Scroll to the bottom of the Setup page and click the Copy Store button.
The system will create a copy of your store with all its products and settings. On the new store's Setup page, use the School Year dropdown to select the new school year.
Update the Start Date and End Date to match the new school year. Make any other desired changes, then click the Save Store button. Your store is now ready for the new school year with all of your previous products and settings carried over!
