General Box Weighing

Use General Box Weighing to weigh boxes one by one and label them in BRAINR.• Weigh each box and print a label for it. • Build a pallet as you go. • Optionally print a pallet label at the end of the workflow.

Important Notes

  • Check if the pallet and box tares are already configured for the product you wish to weigh; if not, configure them first in the web app's "Products" section.

  • Always verify net weight is in the allowed range (e.g. 14,240 – 40,000 KG) before printing box labels.

  • Pallet tare configuration is ignored unless you print the pallet label.

How to open the app

  1. On the tablet app, go to the Weighing section.

  2. Tap the tile “General Box Weighing”.

  3. You will see a list of products eligible for weighing.

To find your product faster:

  • Use quick filters by product family.

  • Use the search field to type the product code or name.

Tap the product tile to open the weighing screen.

Configure the batch

Define the batch for all boxes you will weigh.

Select an existing batch

  1. Tap the Batch field.

  2. Choose from the list.

Create a new batch

If the batch does not exist yet:

  1. Tap “+ Create batch” next to the Batch field.

  2. You are redirected to the batch creation page.

  3. Enter the new batch number and fill in all required attributes.

  4. Save the batch.

  5. You return to the weighing screen and the new batch appears automatically filled in the Batch field.

Configure tares

Configure box tare (subtracted from each box gross weight) and pallet tare (used only if printing pallet label).

Note To create or maintain tare configurations you must use the web app, in the “Products” section, by opening the product and editing its tare settings.

Change the tare configuration

You can still adjust the tare configuration:

  • Change the pallet type or box type by selecting other configured tares from the dropdowns.

  • If the tare allows variable weight, you can edit the unit weight value.

Box tare subtracts from each box; pallet tare shows on the optional pallet label.

Weigh and label each box

Repeat for each box until the pallet is full.

There are two ways to provide the gross weight, depending on how the workstation was configured.

Workstation connected to a scale

  1. Place the filled box on the connected scale.

  2. Tap “Get weight”.

  3. Gross weight reads automatically and the box tare weight subtracts to show the net weight.

  4. If the net weight is in range, tap “Print box label”.

Workstation without scale

  1. Weigh the box using an external scale.

  2. Tap “Enter weight”.

  3. Enter gross weight in the modal and save, the box tare weight subtracts automatically.

  4. If the net weight is in range, tap “Print box label”.

Monitor workflow progress

Track your pallet build with the workflow progress indicator (e.g. 0 of 36 boxes weighed and labeled).

Finish the workflow

The process finishes automatically when the maximum boxes are reached and labeled.

To end early:

  1. Check “Print pallet label when finishing the workflow” (is on by default, if off, no pallet label prints).

  2. Tap “Finish workflow”.

  3. Pallet label prints (or not) based on your choice.
