You can now take charge of your expense management on the Breathe People Portal mobile app.
Upload receipts, track the status of expense claims and view your expense history, all while on the go. This means more control and flexibility when managing your expenses.
Please note: To view Expenses in the mobile app, check that you are using the latest version of the Breathe People Portal app in your Android and iOS stores.
Included in this guide:
✅ Effortlessly submit expenses on the go
To create an expense select the More option from your People Portal dashboard...
Select the Expenses option...
Press the blue + circle icon...
Simply fill out all the required fields marked with an * in the form...
✅ Upload receipts in seconds
You can also upload your receipt in the expense form...
Upload your receipt from your camera roll/gallery, your saved documents or simply open your camera to take a picture and upload it to the expense there and then, saving you time...
Once you have filled out all the fields simply press Add Expense or you can select Create another expense to continue inputting additional expenses...
✅ Submit your expense claims
To Submit your expense claims, head to the expenses option via the more icon.
Select Unclaimed Expenses.
Choose the expenses you would like to claim by pressing the tick box or choose Select All to submit all the expenses in your unclaimed expenses list.
Press Submit Expenses...
✅ Easily track the status of expense claims
Click on Expenses Summary to view the three different statuses of your expenses, Unclaimed, In Progress and Completed...
Simply view your expense history in a single view by clicking the expenses summary headers...

Unclaimed
The unclaimed expense section of the expenses summary details the expenses you have created in Breathe but haven’t submitted as a claim for approval.
In progress
These expenses have been submitted as a claim but are yet to be marked as paid. Once marked as paid they will move to the completed section. Rejected claims will stay in progress until the claim is either updated and resubmitted or deleted. Approved claims will stay in progress until they have been marked as paid.
Completed
Completed claims in the expense summary pie chart have been paid in the last 30 days. A full list of completed expense claims can be accessed via the Completed Expenses option under My Expenses.
✅ Review rejected claims
You can review and amend any rejected expense claims right from your dashboard.
If an expense claim is rejected by your expense approver you will be notified about this on your dashboard so you can take action...
Select Review Expenses. This will take you to your underway expenses page...
Select the relevant expense and you will be able to review it to see why it was rejected...
You can then amend the claim as requested and re-submit it by pressing Resubmit Claim
If you don't already have our expenses add-on module turned on, you can now trial it for 14 days. This means you can explore every inch of the functionality and see it in action.
The easiest way to start a trial is via the My Company header in the left hand menu.
Click the name of the module and select the Start trial option, displayed below...
A module trial can also be started by navigating to Configure > Settings > Modules > Additional Modules > Select Expenses
Please note: Only the Admin user can start a module trial.
