With Breathe's self-service mobile app, you can efficiently manage various aspects of your work life, including leave requests, sickness notifications, shift updates, unavailability notifications, and viewing timesheets.

Signing in
To get started, download the Breathe- People Portal mobile app on your iOS or Android device. Sign in using your standard Breathe credentials.
Dashboard
Upon logging in, your dashboard provides a snapshot of essential information. You can check how many days are left until your next holiday, your remaining annual leave balance, and any ongoing sickness instances, including the number of sickness days taken.
Managing leave
By clicking on the Leave tile, you access your leave overview. Here, you can view your leave allowance, remaining holiday balance for the year, and track your requested, booked, and taken leave.
Create a new leave request by clicking 'Add leave request' - this request will be sent to your holiday approver.
If you have the necessary permissions, you can also use the Calendar to view your colleagues' upcoming holidays.
Logging sickness
With the app, you can easily notify your line manager when you're taking a sick day.
Similarly to leave requests, you can click the icon to view and manage sickness instances.
When logging sickness, you'll need to provide details such as sickness type and the date the sickness started.
You can choose to leave this as an ongoing sickness and update it with an end date once you've recovered. Additionally, you can add notes and attachments to the sickness record.
Expenses
You can now take charge of your expense management on the Breathe People Portal mobile app.
Upload receipts, track the status of expense claims and view your expense history, all while on the go. This means more control and flexibility when managing your expenses.

Kudos
Through the app, send and receive Kudos, check your standing on the leaderboard, and view earned Kudos badges.
Kudos is a straightforward way to share and give praise across your company. If you think an employee or an entire department has excelled, spread the Kudos and recognise their accomplishments. More information about Kudos can be found here.
Kudos can be accessed in the app by going to More > Kudos
Company Announcements
Company announcements are a great way to get information out to all your employees quickly, without having to contact them individually.
View Company Announcements directly in the People Portal app Dashboard.
Viewing shifts
Stay informed about your shifts in real time. Access your shift schedule whilst on the move and receive instant updates about any shift changes.
If you have shifts scheduled for the day, they will be displayed on this screen:
If you encounter any issues clocking into your shift, please consult your manager to verify your timesheet settings.
Unavailability
Notify your line manager about your availability or unavailability to work. Any requests submitted through the mobile app will be sent directly to your approver:
Viewing timesheets
Monitor your working hours and timesheet statuses. The People Portal app enables you to view and create timesheets while you're away from your desk.
Review your submitted timesheets and their approval status.
To access more details about each timesheet, simply tap on it.
You can also filter timesheets by date range using the Custom option.

Q: Is the Breathe - People Portal app free?
A: Yes, the app is free to download. However, you need an active Breathe HR subscription to use it.
Q: Who can use the mobile app?
A: The People Portal app is designed for employees, allowing you to view and manage shifts, leave, sickness, and unavailability while on the go. Please note the app is currently only available via UK app stores.
Q: Can I manage my/my people's holiday on the app?
A: While your team can add their leave, sickness, and unavailability using the app, the holiday approval process must be completed through the browser version of Breathe (on mobile or desktop).
Q: Is there an app for HR/Admin users?
A: Currently, there isn't a separate app for HR/Admin users. Breathe is fully mobile-optimised, making it easy to use on both mobile and desktop.
Q: Can I build my rotas on the app?
A: The People Portal app is primarily designed for employees to view and manage their shifts. Creating work schedules should be done using the desktop version.
Q: Can I clock in using the app?
A: Yes, the app allows your employees to clock in and out. To activate this feature, follow the pathway within the desktop version: Settings > Timesheets and tick the relevant checkbox.
