This article is all about our brand new HR advisor permission which is great if you have a 3rd party HR Consultant who you want to give access to your Breathe account.

What is a HR Advisor?

This is a permission that allows you to add an external 3rd party HR Consultant to your account.

You can have ONE HR Advisor per account and they will not count towards your employee numbers. Like every other user of Breathe, they can only use their email address once.

If your HR Advisor needs to use their email address more than once (eg if they have more than one client using Breathe)  we offer a Partner Programme which would allow them access to ‘a hub’ of clients. Click here for more information

They will also be excluded from the organisation chart, reports and they aren't able to be a line manager/holiday approver.

What permissions will a HR Advisor have?

If you are on a Micro or Starter plan then the HR Advisor will automatically have HR access.

If you are on a Regular, Pro or Premium plan then the HR Advisor will automatically have HR and Finance access.

These permissions can not be removed from the HR advisor.

How to create a HR Advisor

Only the Admin of the account will be able to add a HR advisor.

You can add a HR Advisor to your account via People > Add New > Add HR Advisor

If you already have an employee profile in your account and you want to assign them with HR Advisor permissions then you can do so via their Employee Profile > More > Permissions > edit (pencil icon) > tick 'yes' to HR Advisor

The HR Advisor will have their job title set automatically to be an HR Advisor and this can not be changed unless you remove the permission.

The HR Advisor will appear in the employee directory so their contact information is visible to all employees in case they need to get in touch with them.

When someone with the HR Advisor permissions logs into Breathe it will look exactly the same as it does for any other HR users in the account.

Please note:

  • Only the admin user can remove HR advisor permissions from a user.

  • A HR advisor cannot be added to a partner account
