Self-Assessments Overview

Your school's BridgeU account gives you automatic access to AchieveWorks® Assessments directly within the platform.

There are 4 AchieveWorks® Assessments available to you in BridgeU - each assessment takes around 20 minutes to complete:

  • AchieveWorks® Personality

  • AchieveWorks® Learning & Productivity

  • AchieveWorks® Intelligences

  • AchieveWorks® Skills

Step 1: Navigate to the Prepare tab on your main menu and click Self-assessments.

Step 2: Choose the assessment you want to take and click:

  • Start to begin a new assessment

  • Continue to resume an assessment you previously started

  • Retake to complete the assessment again.

Step 3: Once completed, scroll through the assessment report to view your results.
At the bottom of the report, you will also see recommended Career and Pathways based on your responses.

Step 4: Go back to Self-assessments to view a summary report of your completed assessments, take additional assessments, and discover universities suited to your interests.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

This section covers common issues students and advisors may encounter with BridgeU self-assessments, along with recommended troubleshooting steps.

Assessment Not Saving or Responses Lost

If a student’s assessment responses are not being saved or progress is unexpectedly lost:

  • Try completing the assessment in an incognito/private browser window

  • Clear the browser cache and cookies, then reload the page

  • Try a different browser (Google Chrome is recommended)

  • Ensure the student has a stable internet connection throughout the assessment

Temporary disconnections during the assessment may cause responses to be lost.

Assessment Stuck on Loading or Not Responding

If the assessment page loads but questions do not appear, or the student cannot continue:

  • Refresh the page and wait 30 seconds before interacting

  • Ensure the browser is fully up to date

  • Ask the student to log out and log back in

  • Navigate again to:

    • Prepare → Self-assessments

Assessment Showing as Incomplete

If all questions have been answered but the assessment still shows as In Progress or no report is generated:

  • Confirm the student clicked the final Submit or completion button

  • Scroll to the end of the assessment to ensure submission was completed

  • If the submit button is missing, try another browser or device

The assessment is only completed once it has been formally submitted.
