Your List Explained

Your List is where you can compile and organize the universities and colleges you’re interested in throughout your BridgeU university research journey. Use this section to mark the institutions you're considering and those you plan to apply to.

You can add universities and colleges to Your List at any time during your university search on BridgeU. Simply click the Add to List button within a university profile, and the institution will automatically be added to Your List. You can review and manage your list at any time.

How to find Your List

There are two ways that you can visit Your List:

  1. By navigating to Decide on the main menu and selecting Your List

  2. By selecting Your List when hovering over the icon on the main menu

Organising Your list

We recommend adding 8–12 institutions to Your List. Once you're ready to review the institutions you've added, you can begin to organize them.

Some institutions may require you to select a course. You can easily identify these in your list and click the Pick your course button to update your choice.

There are three status options to choose from:

  • Shortlisted

  • Application started

  • Application sent

If you need to change the current status, you can select Clear status and then re-select the updated status.

Once you start organizing Your list, you will notice that your institutions are categorized according to the statuses you've selected (as shown in the screenshot below).

Note: The application status of the universities and colleges in your list must be either Application started or Application sent for them to be visible to your assigned advisor on their account dashboard.

Application Started: Once you have decided which institution you would like to apply to and have begun your application, please update the status to Application Started. This helps keep your application progress organized and visible to your advisor.

Once selected, you will be prompted to select the application route and deadline for your application.

For some universities and courses, you may need to visit the official university website to find specific application deadlines. Additionally, the application route may vary depending on the options available for each university.

Your advisor will only be able to submit documents for universities and colleges that you have updated to Application Started or Application Sent statuses.

Click Update List to save your selected application deadline and application method.

Note: If you are applying to universities or colleges via the Common App, these will automatically sync to the Institutions you’re applying to section in Your list when you Pair your Common App with BridgeU. Updating your Application Outcomes

As you submit applications and receive responses from the institutions you are applying to, use the status bubbles to update your progress and outcomes. Regularly updating this information will help both you and your advisor stay informed. Once you receive outcomes from an institution, you can select from various outcome options, as shown in the example below.

If you have withdrawn an application, you can set the status to Withdrawn.

Deleting universities or colleges from Your List

If you wish to delete a university or college from Your List at any point, click the Remove icon located to the right of the university or college name.
