Set Guide Priority for Automatic Guide Assignment

Set guide priority in Organization Settings so Brindlechute can pre-assign the best available and eligible guide when a booking is created.

Guide Priority and Assignment helps speed up booking creation by letting Brindlechute automatically pre-assign a guide. When this setting is used, the system looks at guide availability and eligibility, then chooses a guide based on the priority order set in the Guides section. This makes it easier to keep assignments consistent and follow your preferred guide order.

How automatic guide assignment works

When a new booking is created, Brindlechute can pre-assign a guide automatically.

The system checks:

  • Whether the guide is available

  • Whether the guide is eligible for the experience

  • Where the guide falls in your guide priority ranking

If more than one guide is available and eligible, the system will choose the guide with the highest priority based on the ranking set by your team.

How to set guide priority and assignment on

  1. Click your organization name.

  2. Click Settings.

  3. Open the guide priority and assignment setting.

  4. Go to the Guides section.

  5. Arrange guides based on your preferred assignment order.

  6. Save the changes.

What the ranking means

The guide at the top of the list is treated as the highest-priority guide.

For example:

  • Guide #1 will be considered first

  • Guide #2 will be considered next

  • Guide #3 will be considered after that

If the top-ranked guide is not available or not eligible for the trip, Brindlechute will move to the next guide in the ranking.

What happens when a booking is created

Once guide priority is set, Brindlechute will use that order when creating a booking.

The booking will pre-assign a guide automatically based on:

  • guide availability

  • guide eligibility

  • guide ranking

This helps reduce manual work during booking creation while still following the guide order your team prefers.
