Turn on online gift card sales so clients can buy gift cards in your online booking without contacting you. Gift cards appear as their own group in your online booking, after your experience groups, and clients choose from the amounts you set.
How to turn on online gift card sales
Click Gift cards in the left sidebar, under Products.
Click Settings.
Turn on Sell gift cards online.
Under Amounts sold online, enter an amount and click Add. Repeat for each amount you want clients to choose from.
Click Save.
Add a shop link (optional)
A shop link adds a Shop trips button to the gift card page, so recipients can go straight to your online booking and spend their gift card. It applies to every gift card, whether you issued it from your dashboard or a client bought it online.
Click Gift cards in the left sidebar, under Products.
Click Settings.
In Shop link, enter the web address where recipients can book trips, such as your online booking page.
Click Save.
The Shop trips button appears at the bottom of the gift card page, with a reminder to enter the card number at checkout.
Good to know
Choose amounts with booking fees in mind. To pay for a trip in online booking, the gift card has to cover the full total, including booking fees. A gift card amount that matches a trip's price exactly won't cover that trip once fees are added.
You can still issue gift cards yourself. Selling online doesn't replace issuing gift cards from your dashboard. For sales you handle directly, see How to Issue a Gift Card.
Selling gift cards online lets clients buy a gift card any time, without a call or email, and every card sold is tracked in your gift cards list. To see how recipients use their gift card, see How Clients Pay with a Gift Card. For how gift cards work end to end, see How Gift Cards Work.
