A roster group ties together itineraries from separate bookings that are guided as one party. Each trip in a booking's Itinerary builder is one itinerary.
For example, at a family reunion the parents, the grown children, and a cousin might each book separately but fish together on overlapping dates. Grouping their itineraries records that connection in Brindlechute. You, your guides, and anyone editing those bookings can see it there, so it doesn't have to live on a paper roster or in a booking note.
Roster groups are also helpful if you run lots of trips with partners. Group the itineraries each partner runs so you can see them together in one place.
How roster groups work
Itineraries are grouped, not whole bookings. Each trip in a booking can belong to a different roster group, or to none.
An itinerary belongs to one roster group at a time. Adding it to a new group moves it out of its old one.
Grouping never changes a booking. Creating, editing, or dismissing a group doesn't change any itinerary's dates, clients, price, or experiences.
A group's dates come from its itineraries. The date span runs from the earliest start to the latest end.
Where to see roster groups
Roster groups tab
Click Trips in the left sidebar, then click the Roster groups tab.
Each group appears as a card with its name, date span, number of bookings, and number of itineraries.
Under each card, every itinerary is listed with its client, dates, itinerary status, and booking status.
Use the Active and Completed tabs, the search bar, or the Trip Date filter to find a group.
A group moves to Completed once every itinerary in it is completed.
Itineraries tab
The Roster group column shows which group each itinerary belongs to. Use the Roster Group filter to see only one group's itineraries.
Booking Detail
A grouped trip shows a Roster group banner with the group's name, date span, and booking and itinerary counts. Click View group to open the group.
Who can use roster groups
Creating, editing, or dismissing a group requires permission to manage bookings; see How member roles and permissions work in Brindlechute.
You can view roster groups on a phone, but creating and editing them requires a desktop browser.
