What is a View in Reports?

A view allows you to create a customized version of a report, tailored to display exactly the data you need. Here’s how views can enhance your reporting experience:

  • Multiple Views: You can create and save multiple views for the same report, each with different settings.

  • Custom Naming: Assign a unique name to each view for easy retrieval later.

  • Filters and Rules: Apply specific filters and rules to your view to refine the data displayed in the report, allowing you to focus on what is most relevant.

  • Column Selection: Choose which columns to display or hide in each view so that the report shows only the information you want to see.

With views, you have complete control over data presentation, allowing you to access the information that matters to you more quickly and easily.

Creating a View

Select a Report

In the Reports tab, select the report to which you want to add a view. Then click “Add View.”

Create Your View

On the page that appears, enter the name of the view.

Edit view

Your view has just been created. Now click on the pencil icon to edit it.

On the interface that appears, you can

  • edit the view name

  • manage filters for this view

  • manage the columns displayed for this view

Add filters

Choose a rule between filters: And / Or

  • And: The filtered items will have to match all the filters.

For example, if you are creating a report on payments, and want to filter out payments greater than or equal to 50 Euros AND having been made by credit card.

This will only show you payments greater than 50 Euros that were made by credit card.

  • Or: The filtered items should match at least one filter.

For example, if you are reporting on payments, and want to filter out payments greater than 50 Euros OR payments with transaction fees greater than or equal to 5 Euros.

This will show you your payments greater than 50 Euros and your payments with transaction fees greater than or equal to 5 Euros.

  • Next, select different elements to filter, according to the different columns of your report, and choose between a normal filter or a filter group.

  • A filter group allows you to apply a different rule and/or all filters within the group.

For example, for a payment report, you can choose to create a filter that shows you all "data with a price greater than or equal to 50 Euros" And also having a "transaction fee greater than or equal to 5 Euros Or a payment method by Card, Cash, Check".

Select columns

Reports contain many columns, but not all of them may be necessary for the data you're looking for. You can therefore choose to hide unnecessary columns.

Save

You now have everything in place for your view. All that remains is to click on “Save and generate”.

You can now view the exact data you're interested in on your report.

Multiple views can be created on the same report.

Search for your views

If you have created several views on different reports, you can easily access them by following this help sheet.
