What’s new with our communication tool?
The Communication Drawer V2 is made up of three key components that work consistently across different contexts:
1. Communication Filters
💡 Communication filters help you control the messages you want to see in the Message Thread, but don’t affect how messages are sent.
For example, if you’ve filtered the thread to display only SMS messages, you can still send an email. After sending, you’ll see a notice: "The communication you have just sent is hidden by the active filters."
2. Message Thread
3. Communication Sender
Sending a message to your Smartlist
There are three ways to open the Communication Drawer from the Smartlist detail page:
Send a message (at the very top of the page): Use this to send a direct message to all members currently in the Smartlist.
+ Add (Entry): Set up an automatic message for when someone joins the Smartlist.
+ Add (Exit): Set up an automatic message for when someone leaves the Smartlist.
No matter which option you choose, the Communication Drawer V2 opens with the same interface. What changes is the audience: who the message will be sent to.
Once the drawer appears, click Send a message again to choose your message type.
Here’s how to send a standard message using the Communication Drawer:
Scroll to the top and click Send a message.
2. The Communication Drawer V2 will appear. Click Send a message again to access message types.
