Access Control needs to be activated on your account for this feature to appear on your members' app.
Remember that for Access Control, there are 2 was for your members to enter:
Manual entry
Auto entry
The flow to enter will be different based on which method is used to enter.
Manual entry
Note that if you are logged in as an administrator or owner of the studio, you will not be able to scan members, but you will always have access to the live list of members' visits.
The members checking in at the reception desk can now scan their bar-codes visible on their studio app in the Profile tab
Tips to optimize the scanning :
barcodes are detected more easily by the scanner when they are compact i.e. not too zoomed in on the screen
if possible, avoid placing your mouse cursor in an active text field in the back-office
Note that the members' bar-codes cannot be scanned if your active tab is not a tab of the back-office (for example any Google page)
Each time a member scans their bar-codes, you will see a notification indicating the member's name and entry status. If you wish to see more information about this member entry, click on "Open".
Auto entry
Auto entry uses the logic of click-to-open, meaning that your members will have a button in their app in order to be able to unlock your doors.
Unlock a door
In their app, your members will have to:
Go to their Profile tab
Click on the "Unlock door" button
A list of all the doors will appear
Your member will have to select which door to open
Then click on Unlock
Depending on the logic explained here your member will then be able to enter or not.
Goefencing and localization
If the Geofencing feature has been activated, your members will have to allow their phone to share their location. If not, the app will ask them again to accept. If they don't, they won't be able to open doors.
It is important that your members activate their exact location (normally activated by default on IOS and Android). If not, the phone will only provide an approximate location, which could prevent members from entering.
Check on a member status
You can always check on a member's status even if the member didn't try to enter. This can happen if your member doesn't have access to their smartphone or if there are any issues with the hardware.
The following actions can only be done by a staff member with the right permissions. Owners do not have the permissions to do so.
Searching for a member in the search bar
From any page of the back-office, click on the member search bar on the top right of your screen
and search for the member's name or email. Then on the list of results, click on "Member entry" next to the member name
You will see a notification indicating the member's name and entry status. If you wish to see more information about this member entry, click on "Open"
Searching for a member in the Member Visit tab
First, on the navigation menu, click on "Access" to open the Access Monitoring page in a new tab.
Then on the Member visit page, click on the member search bar and search for the member name or email.
On the list of results, click on the right member. The information about this member visit will now appear on the same page.
In the case of auto entry, the manual checks will no open the door. You can do it by going on the Kisi interface.
