Before reading this article, make sure you've read this one first
Auto entry is in beta test, if you wish to participate to the beta, please reach out to your Account Manager.
To allow auto entry, bsport is partnering with Kisi. Before going further in this article, it is mandatory to get in contact with Kisi so you are fully onboarded and your Kisi account is set up with all your doors configured and correctly linked to hardware. Once this is done, you can go on with this article.
Connect bsport to Kisi
Create a group on Kisi
First you will need to create a Group in Kisi. We will use this group as the access rules for your members.
You'll be able to define the doors to which your members will have access to (if you have multiple doors). But also during which time period of the day your members can have access to the doors.
In Kisi, go to Groups and then Add Group
Fill the name and description. We recommend indicating clearly in the name that this group is for the bsport users.
We recommend NOT to toggle Scope to a Place. This allows for more flexibility in the future as this is a setting that cannot be changed once the group is created.
Click on Add
Once your group is created you should:
indicate to which door this group has access to
set up the access schedule to make sure your members won't be able to enter when the studio is not opened
You can do so by following Kisi helpsheets here.
Create a user
We now want to create the user bsport is going to use to unlock the door. We will assign to this user the group create previously, so that members can only access your studio at the right time.
On Kisi go to Users and click on Add Users
Indicate an email address
You need to be able to access this email address as your are going to receive an email on it
Indicate a name. We recommend bsport
Then click on Share Access
In the modale, select the group we just created
In Role, select Group Manager
Make sure the Notify the User toggle is activated
Click on Share
And then Add
Your user just received an email, open it and follow the steps to create a password. Then connect to this account.
Get the API Key
To connect bsport to Kisi, you will need to provide the Kisi API key of the user we just created to your Account Manager. Here is how to find your API key:
Make sure your are connected to the user you just created
In the top right corner, click on your email and select "My Account"
In "My Account", select "API" from the menu on the left and click "Add API key"
In "Name", indicate "bsport"
In "Password", indicate the account password
Copy the API key and send it to your Account Manager
Wait for your Account Manager to confirm that the link between bsport and Kisi has been established.
If you are a franchise
If you are a franchise or a brand using the bsport Master Account. And if you have multiple studios in your Master Account using Access Control auto entry, please repeat the previous steps for each of your franchisees/studios that need Access Control auto entry.
Create one group for each franchisees
Indicate in the name which franchisee this group controls
In the groups make sure you select only the doors belonging to the given franchisee
Create one user for each franchisees and assign it the right group
Generate an API Key for each users
Make sure to indicate clearly to your Account Manager which API Key belongs to which franchisee
Choose your security method
Auto entry is based on a click-to-open logic. Meaning that your members can open doors through their app by clicking on a button. Learn how this works by following this helpsheet.
In order to prevent fraud, you want to make sure that your members are actually close to the door when opening it. To reduce this risk, we have different ways to protect your studio:
geofencing
proximity proof
Please select one of the following security protections and reach out to your account manager for them to activate it.
Whatever method is selected, members always have to be connected to the internet if they want to be able to open doors.
Geofencing
Geofencing defines a radius around your doors in which a member has to be in order to be able to unlock said doors.
To activate it, please contact your Account Manager and give them the radius (in meters) within which members should be in order to unlock doors.
We recommend setting a radius of at least 100 meters around your entrance. This allows for normal variations in phone localization accuracy due to GPS and network conditions.
Wait for your Account Manager to confirm that everything is in place.
Proximity proof
Proximity proof uses Bluetooth to make sure that the member’s phone is next to a reader. If it’s the case, the member will be able to open the door.
If they are too far from the reader, the door won’t open. In this scenario, the members still have to click to open the door inside the app.
For proximity proof to work, you need to have a reader for each of your doors. You can order your readers here. We advise the Reader Pro 2.1 (High frequency)
To activate it, please contact your Account Manager.
If you chose this option, please follow the installation guide for proximity proof here.
Learn how to set up Access Control
Now that Access Control is activated, let's see how to properly set up your Back Office to define the entry rules.
