This article applies to both auto entry and manual entry. You can check the definition here.
Now that Access Control is enabled on your studio, let's see how to set up your passes and bookings to allow your members to enter.
Set up your passes and subscriptions
Passes
To allow your members to enter your studio, they will need to own a pass or subscription giving them access in order to do so:
In the pass creation flow or edition flow, go to the "Door Access" section
Activate the toggle "Grant studio access"
For auto entry only, once activated, this pass will allow all the members owning it to open every door in your studio. This will also apply to passes already owned by members before the toggle was activated.
The rights to access the studio will remain valid as long as the pass has not expired.
If this pass is used in a subscription, this subscription will also give access to the studio to the members subscribed. For a pass used in subscriptions, we advise you to indicate "Valid from the billing date" as the start date of the pass.
Valid from first use
If you granted studio access to the pass, you'll see a new option in the start date options for your pass: Valid from the first use.
This option can be used for day passes for example. To learn how to set up this kind of pass, please follow this helpsheet.
Off peak passes
On passes, you can restrict booking to certain times. But this option is also compatible with Access Control. This way you can indicate if the pass gives access to your studio on a specific day on specific hours.
Establishment access
This feature only applies to manual entry.
For manual entry you can define if a pass gives access to certain establishments using the restrictions on establishments. By default a pass will give access to all establishments.
Appointment passes
For appointment passes, we don't have such toggle yet. All appointment passes will give rights to open doors.
Establishment access
This feature only applies to manual entry.
Just like for passes, you can define to which establishments the appointment passes can give access to.
To do se we will use the "Compatible appointments" section. If the compatible appointments have a given given establishment, the appointment pass will give access to said establishment.
Entry based on bookings
If you have appointments, group classes or workshops in your studio and you wish that your members could enter if they have an upcoming session (even without a pass, giving them full access) you can activate this feature.
If you wish to activate this feature, go to Access > Settings
By default, the timeframe for entry is less than 59 minutes before the session starts and less than 15 minutes after it has started.
You can edit it if needed.
Then enter the new timeframe to be taken into account and click on Save
Note that this setting is shared by all sessions and all locations.
Access Control logic
Everything is set up for your studio, now let's understand the logic of Access Control and how it decides who can enter or not. Let's continue on this article.
