To log in to a "Staff" access, use the following link: https://backoffice.bsport.io/login/pro
Step 1: Create a role
We currently have 6 pre-configured roles:
Check-in Limited: only the ability to sign members up for classes
Check-in Wide: access to the schedule, appointment management, and member data. Ability to edit the class and add a video conferencing link
Check-in tablet: access for the tablet at your studio's entrance
Admin: the same type of access as Owner (access to the full platform), but can be removed by an owner
Reporting: access to reports only, for example useful for your accountant
Owner: access to all features, can override anything without restrictions and can add Staff accounts
You can also create your own custom role by clicking Add role
Here you can enter a name and a description and select all permissions that belong to this role.
Step 2: Create a Staff account
Once you've chosen the desired role, you can link an account to it
To do this, click Add Staff
Next, you need to:
enter a name for this access
assign an Email and password (used to log in to this access)
link the desired role to this Staff account
NOTE: it is NOT possible to use an Email already linked to a member or instructor profile for a Staff account ⚠️
The Email linked to the Staff access must not already be in use for an instructor or member profile, but it can be a fictitious Email (e.g.: teacher@studioname.com)
You don't need to create a separate Staff account for each person if they share the same role. Multiple people can log in to the same Staff account at the same time
For example: if all instructors have the same role, create just one Staff account for all instructors and share the Email and password with everyone. This way, they can all log in at the same time
In the new Back Office
Staff accounts now live under Team, which brings together Teachers and Staff in one place.
To create a new staff account, go to Team > Staff and select + Add staff.
Roles now have their own section. Roles & Permissions has its own section in Settings, separate from Staff — go to Settings > Roles & Permissions to create or edit the roles you assign to your staff accounts. You can also reach this page from Staff by selecting Manage roles at the top of the page.
When creating the staff account, assign it a role — either one of the pre-configured roles or a custom role you've created.
What hasn't changed
The role types themselves and what each one can do work the same way as before.
