Branded App: Before you start — checklist and timeline

Everything to have ready before your setup call, so your app can go live without delays.

Your branded app is published under your own Apple and Google developer accounts. Some of the setup steps can only be done by you. When everything below is ready before your setup call, most studios finish the account setup in a single session.

✅ Checklist

1. The business owner joins the call

Apple and Google require the legal owner of the business to create the developer accounts. Employees, freelancers or agencies cannot do it on your behalf.

2. A DUNS number that matches your legal documents exactly

The company name and address on your DUNS record must match your registration documents character for character (spelling, legal form, street name, postcode). Most rejections from Apple and Google come from a small mismatch here.

3. A live website on your own domain

For example www.yourstudio.com. It must be publicly accessible. A "coming soon" page is not accepted by Apple.

4. An email address on the same domain

For example hello@yourstudio.com. It must be able to receive emails from outside (Apple and Google send verification codes to it). A Gmail or Hotmail address is not accepted for the Apple organisation account.

5. Access to your domain's DNS settings

Google and Apple ask you to add a small verification record to your domain. If someone else manages your website (a web agency, a family member, a freelancer), make sure they are available during the call.

6. Your company documents and ID

Your business registration certificate (for example Kbis, Handelsregisterauszug, KvK uittreksel, certificado de autónomo) and the owner's ID. Have them as PDF or photo on the computer you use for the call.

7. A bank card for the store fees

Apple charges an annual fee and Google a one-time fee. Ideally use a card in the business name, and keep the payment page open while your bank asks you to approve the payment. Our team will tell you what to do with the invoice.

8. A computer, not a tablet or phone

Our team may guide you by screen sharing or remote control (AnyDesk). This does not work from an iPad or phone. If you use a Mac, allow AnyDesk "Screen Recording" and "Accessibility" in System Settings > Privacy & Security before the call.

9. Your back office is ready

Logo, colours, at least one teacher, one establishment and one scheduled activity.

⏱ How long does it take?

Once everything above is ready, most studios go live in 4 to 6 weeks. The waiting time is mostly Apple and Google reviewing your accounts and your app. Missing items from the checklist are the main cause of delays.

Good to know:

  • Your iOS and Android apps may go live on different days, because Apple and Google review them separately.

  • If Apple or Google contacts you directly, forward their email to us in your branded app conversation.

💬 Keep everything in one conversation

Please always reply in the same branded app conversation with our team, rather than starting a new one. This way your full history stays in one place and you get a faster answer.

Never send passwords, API keys or key files by email or chat.
