I received an email from Apple or Google about my app — what do I do?

Which store emails bsport handles for you, and which ones need an action from you.

Because your branded app is published under your own developer accounts, Apple and Google send their emails to you, the account owner. Most of them are about things bsport takes care of. A few need you to act, because only the account owner can do it.

✅ No action needed: bsport handles it

You can ignore these emails. Our team receives the same information and takes care of it.

  • Target API level / "Your app must target Android API level XX": Google regularly asks apps to update to a recent Android version. We publish the update for you.

  • App signing keys, upload keys, new SDK requirements: technical requirements we handle when building your app.

  • Data safety or policy warnings about your app (for example an outdated account deletion or privacy URL): we update the information in the store and resubmit the app.

  • "Your app update has been approved / is live": just information.

  • App review rejected: we fix it and resubmit. We will contact you only if we need something from you.

⚠️ Action needed: only you can do it

These steps must be done by the account owner. Please do them as soon as possible: until then, we may not be able to publish or update your app.

  • Apple: new agreement to accept (Program License Agreement, Paid Applications Agreement). 👉 How to accept the pending Apple Developer Program agreements

  • Apple: membership renewal. Your Apple Developer membership renews every year. If the payment fails, your app can be removed from the App Store. Make sure your card is valid.

  • Apple: Digital Services Act (DSA) / trader information. 👉 How to Complete the Apple Data Safety Assessment (DSA)

  • Google: verify your identity, organisation, contact details or payment profile. Google asks the account owner directly and gives a deadline. Log in to Google Play Console and follow the steps shown.

  • Google: "Your developer account is inactive / at risk of being closed". Log in to Google Play Console and complete any pending task.

  • Any change to your business name, legal address or bank details. Tell us before you change it in your developer account: a change can trigger a new verification, and your app can be hidden during that time.

❓ Not sure?

Forward the email to us by replying in your branded app conversation, or take a screenshot. We'll tell you whether you need to do anything.

Never send us your passwords. If an email asks for a password or a payment, check that it comes from @apple.com or @google.com before clicking any link.
