1st Step: Create a specific tag to identify yourself.
The objective is to make you appear alone in a Smartlist. To do this, in your test account that should contain a real email:
Create a new tag by clicking on "Create a new category" and name it "Staff".
Then click on "+" to create a sub-category: name it "Manager".
Then assign this tag to your file.
2nd Step: Create a Smartlist.
Marketing > Smartlists > "Add a Smartlist" > Add a filter > Member information > Tags > "Includes the Tag" > "Staff" > "Manager" > Click on "Add". Note: Smartlists use automatic sending rules, so tag rules are not necessary for email delivery. The tag here is used solely for filtering purposes.
3rd Step: Send the email.
Once the Smartlist has been created, click on "Send mail". To send a template you prepared beforehand, select the right template you want to test, and click on "Send". When previewing the email, you may notice that all recipients appear to have the same name. This is because the recipient name field is displayed as a variable placeholder in the editor. The system will replace the placeholder with each recipient’s correct name when the email is sent. If the template does not appear immediately in the Smartlist "Send a message" interface, use the search functionality to locate it by its exact name as saved in the Marketing section.
