Setting up the ActiveCampaign API

This training will allow you to set up the relationship between Bsport and ActiveCampaign.

1st Step: Set the ActiveCampaign API to bsport.

In Settings > ActiveCampaign > Click on the pencil to add or modify the access information to the ActiveCampaign API.

Enter here:

  • The URL of your API.

  • The authentication key.

2nd Step: Set the information that is sent from Bsport to ActiveCampaign.

In order to send the data to ActiveCampaign, you have to create a Smartlist and add filters to this smartlist to create a list of members that should be sent to ActiveCampaign.

When you have done this you can go to Settings > ActiveCampaign > Click on "Add link between lists".

  • Using the drop-down menu "Choose a Smartlist" > Choose the created Smartlist containing the list of members to send to ActiveCampaign. It is possible to choose more than one smartlist. In this case, all members from both smartlists will be taken into account (not only those that are both part of one AND of the other).

  • With the drop-down menu "Choose ActiveCampaign List" > Choose the list in which the data will be sent in ActiveCampaign.

There are three warnings:

Warning 1: The data that is sent from Bsport to ActiveCampaign is the email address, the name and surname of the members.

Warning 2: The members in the smartlist are sent every night to the ActiveCampaign list. Members will appear as "active" in ActiveCampaign. Members who have left the smartlist are also removed from the ActiveCampaign list. Their status becomes "unconfirmed".

Warning 3: In order to do all this, you have to create your lists in ActiveCampaign beforehand.

3rd Step: Set up the integration of bsport information from ActiveCampaign.

To retrieve data from ActiveCampaign, the status of the members record on ActiveCampaign must be set to 'WON'.

On the Bsport platform, in Settings > ActiveCampaign > Select "Create a customer account on bsport when the prospect is set to "WON" status on a deal" and "Create a customer account on Bsport when the prospect is set to "WON" status on ActiveCampaign".

Warning 1: The integration takes place during the night.

Warning 2: The information retrieved by Bsport are the names, first names and email addresses. The information sent by Bsport are the names, first names and email addresses.
