When adding an appointment, you have the possibility to set buffers before and after each session of this appointment.

You can find this option in the section Appointments by Adding an Appointment or by Editing an appointment that already exists.

In the fields Buffer (in minutes) before the start of the appointment  and Buffer (in minutes) after the end of the appointment, you are able to choose the buffer length you want to set before and after each session of this appointment.

Example: If you set up as follows :

  • Buffer (in minutes) before the start of the appointment * : 10

  • Buffer (in minutes) after the end of the appointment * : 15

Every time a member will book a session of this appointment, it will display unavailable on the schedule 10 minutes before and 15 minutes after this session.

This option can be useful if you need to travel to go an appointment or if you need time to clean, tidy or organize the room.

The feature Activate retroactively for this booking allows you (in the case where 2 sessions follow one another) to choose if the buffers you set before and after each session must merge or add up.

Example : According to the same set up :

Buffer (in minutes) before the start of the appointment * : 10
Buffer (in minutes) after the end of the appointment * : 15

  • If you tick Activate retroactively for this booking (in the case where 2 sessions follow one another), the 15 min buffer after the first session and the 10 min buffer before the second session will add up, which will create a 25 min unavailability between the 2 sessions.

  • If you untick Activate retroactively for this booking (in the case where 2 sessions follow one another), the 15 min buffer after the first session and the 10 min buffer before the second session will merge, which will create a 15 min unavailability between the 2 sessions.
