Your studio can ask clients to accept four documents. This article explains where to add each one, when clients are asked to accept it, and how to check it’s been done.
Document | When clients accept it | Where to check |
Terms of use | On the sign-up form | Client profile > Forms |
Liability waiver | On the sign-up form | Client profile > Forms |
General terms and conditions | When they make a payment | Client profile > General |
Subscription terms | When they buy a subscription | Client’s Subscriptions section |
Add your documents
Step 1: Go to Settings > General and add your general terms and conditions, terms of use and liability waiver.
Make the liability waiver mandatory
Step 1: Go to Settings > Member forms > Sign up form.
Step 2: Unarchive the liability waiver.
Step 3: Mark it as mandatory, then click Save.
Add terms to a subscription
When you create a subscription, add its terms. Clients will need to accept them before they can pay.
What your clients see
When they sign up
When a client creates their account, they’re asked to accept your terms of use and liability waiver before they can sign up.
To read these again later, clients can go to their profile and click Edit.
When they make a payment
Each time a client makes a payment, they’re asked to accept your general terms and conditions before finishing the purchase.
When they buy a subscription
Clients need to accept the subscription’s terms in order to pay. Afterwards, they can read the terms at any time in the Subscriptions section of their profile.
Clients created by your team
When your team adds a client in the Back Office, the client doesn’t fill in the sign-up form themselves.
Liability waiver: the waiver is shown while you create the client’s profile. Show it to the client at the studio so they can read and accept it before you save.
Terms of use: these aren’t shown when your team creates the profile. The client will be asked to accept them the first time they log in to their account.
General terms and conditions: these work the same as for any client. They’re accepted when the client makes a payment.
💡 If a client needs to accept your terms of use before their first class, ask them to log in to your website or app before they arrive.
Check whether a client has accepted
Terms of use and liability waiver: open the client’s profile and go to Forms. The sign-up form is ticked once the client has accepted it, including after their first login if your team created the account.
General terms and conditions: open the client’s profile and go to the General section. It shows whether the client has agreed to them, once they’ve made a payment.
