The sitters on Bubble are an incredibly diverse and talented group of people, and we know they’re ready and willing to support busy families who need other forms of help, aside from childcare. We also know that in light of COVID-19, many people are looking for new ways to get more work and extra income.

This is why we’ve built our Helpr feature on Bubble, allowing parents to post requests for other types of jobs, which local sitters can review and apply to.

Every sitter on Bubble gets the chance to opt into Helpr requests, via the Main Menu > My Request Types > Helpr.

Once this is enabled, these types of jobs will appear in a separate tab on your homepage, which you can apply to if it suits you.

These jobs are then booked and paid for through the app, very much like how a typical babysitting job works on Bubble. There is no pre-defined list of jobs that a parent can request, but some examples of the types of jobs parents book using our Helpr feature are:

For now, the jobs operate on a per-hour basis, using the sitter’s standard babysitting rate, however, it’s very easy for parents and sitters to discuss alternative arrangements via the app, to utilise our Dynamic Pricing feature and to account for them on the job receipt before paying at the end.
