How do I record unscheduled or ad-hoc meetings in Bubbles?

Bubbles can capture meetings that aren’t on your calendar. The recommended method is to use the Chrome or Edge extension, but you can also record manually using the Paste a link option in the web app.

First, a quick heads-up

  • Recommended option: Use the Chrome or Edge extension for the fastest and most reliable way to record unscheduled meetings.

  • Alternative option: Use the web app with Paste a link.

  • Works on supported platforms: Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, GoTo Meeting, and Webex.

  • Participants will always be notified when the bot joins and can remove it at any time

Option 1: Recommended: Use the Chrome or Edge extension

  • When you join a meeting, click the Bubbles extension icon.

  • Paste meeting link at the bottom and press Record.

  • The Notetaker joins in ~20 seconds.

Option 2 : Alternative: Use the web app (Paste a link)

Step 1: Start or join your meeting

  • Launch your meeting.

  • Copy the full meeting link.

Step 2: Open the Bubbles Notetaker

Step 3: Paste and start recording

  • Paste your meeting link.

  • Press Enter, the Notetaker joins in ~20 seconds.

  • Recording starts

  • Notetaker sends a Notification to participants with a removal link.

Step 4: After the meeting

  • You’ll get:

    • Full transcript

    • AI summary

    • Action items

    • Shareable recording link

Good to know

  • Works on both desktop and mobile browsers.

  • If the meeting has a waiting room, you need to admit the notetaker manually.

  • Bookmark the Notetaker page for quicker access.

Still stuck?

  • Make sure the link is complete and valid.

  • Refresh the Notetaker page and try again.

  • Check your Notetaker history and email for the recording after a few minutes.
