Your profile helps others recognise you on Buenro and allows the platform to work smoothly. Most profile details can be updated easily in the app, but some personal information is locked after onboarding for security reasons.
1. What can I update in my profile?
You can update the following profile details at any time in the app:
Profile photo
Job title and company
About Me section
Instagram handle (optional)
Timeline visibility (Public or Private)
These updates take effect immediately.
2. Which details are locked after onboarding?
For safety, trust, and compliance reasons, the following details cannot be edited after onboarding:
Name
Date of birth
These fields are locked to help prevent misuse and identity issues on the platform.
If you’ve made a genuine mistake or your details need correcting, Support can help. See section 4 below.
3. How do I edit my profile?
Open the Buenro app
Tap Profile (bottom right)
Select Edit Profile
Tap the field you want to update
Save your changes
If a field is locked, you won’t be able to edit it directly in the app.
4. How do I change my name or date of birth?
If your name or date of birth is incorrect, contact Support and we’ll guide you through the next steps.
In some cases, we may need documentation to make the change. This helps keep Buenro safe and fair for everyone.
5. Account settings and privacy
To manage your account settings:
Go to Profile
Tap the menu icon (≡)
Select Settings
Tap Personal Info
From here, you can:
Change your email address
Update your password
Adjust notification preferences
Manage privacy settings
6. Who can see my profile?
Your visibility settings control who can see your profile and timeline:
Public – Visible to other users
Private – Only you can see your full profile
You can change this under Settings > Privacy & Security.
7. Can I deactivate or delete my account?
Yes. In Settings, you can:
Temporarily deactivate your account
Permanently delete your account (this can’t be undone)
If you delete your account, you’ll lose access to all reservations, credits, and groups.
