Buenro uses a smart notification system to keep you updated on what matters — from booking changes to curator responsibilities. These notifications are delivered at the right time and tailored to your role in the group.
1. Types of Notifications
Buenro currently supports:
Push notifications (via Firebase Cloud Messaging)
In-app alerts (visible via the 🔔 bell icon)
Email notifications (to your registered address)
Each message is routed based on the event type and your user role, ensuring you get only what’s relevant to you.
2. ⏰ When You’ll Receive Notifications
You’ll be notified when there’s a change in your booking, group, or curator status. Below are the most common scenarios:

Booking is confirmed or expires | Curator, Guests (who paid) |
A room is claimed or unclaimed | Curator, Guests |
You're invited or removed from a group | The affected Guest |
You're assigned as Curator | You |
Booking is at risk of cancellation | All Guests (24-hour window) |
Someone joins via shared Timeline | Curator |
A guest cancels or drops out | Curator, and possibly other Guests |
Curator cancels | Entire group (with refund breakdown) |
3. Notification Rules by Role
Role | Receives Notifications For |
Curator | All booking updates, guest actions, group risks |
Guest (paid) | Booking status, reassignment, refund eligibility |
+1 Guest (free) | Basic confirmation/cancellation alerts |
Pending guest | Room claim updates, final confirmation notice |
4. Where to Find Notifications
🔔 In-App: Tap the bell icon to view recent alerts
📧 Email: Check your inbox for booking and group updates
📱 Push: Make sure notifications are enabled in your device settings
Deep links in notifications will take you directly to the relevant screen in the app.
6. Can I Manage My Notifications?
Currently, notification settings are not user-configurable. Notifications are sent automatically based on your role and actions. We’re working on more flexible settings in a future update.
