Map and List Results: Why they can look different

Explore shows the same set of properties in map and list views when you use the same search settings.

In some cases, results can look different due to map bounds, filters, and live availability. This article explains expected differences, quick fixes, and when to contact Support.

1. How Explore decides what to show

Explore results depend on:

  • Your filters: destination, dates, group size, price, and other options

  • Availability: properties appear only if they are available for your selected dates

  • Map bounds: the visible area of the map limits what you see in that view

Platform: iOS app only.

2. When results should match

Map and list views should match when:

  • You use the same filters and dates

  • You are looking at the same geographic area

  • You have not changed zoom level or panned the map between checks

If you see a consistent difference with identical settings, see section 6.

3. When differences are expected (by design)

You may notice fewer properties on the map or a different order in the list in these cases:

  • Map bounds: If you are zoomed in, only properties inside the current map view appear. Zoom out to include more areas.

  • Recent bookings: As soon as a place is fully booked for your dates, it disappears from search. Results can change between checks.

  • Filter changes: Tight filters (narrow date windows, large group size, strict price) reduce results more on a zoomed-in map.

  • Location area searched: Searching broadly (e.g., entire city) in list view and then zooming the map to a small neighborhood will naturally show fewer pins.

  • Data refresh timing: Brief delays can occur while your app refreshes. Pull to refresh or revisit Explore to update.

4. Quick fixes you can try

  • Zoom out or pan the map to widen the area

  • Reset filters and reapply: dates, guests, price

  • Switch between list and map, then back again

  • Fully close and reopen the app

  • Update the app from the App Store

  • Restart your iPhone

5. When to contact Support

If map and list still show different results for the same area and filters, or a specific property appears in one view but not the other, contact Support and include:

  • A screenshot of your map view and your list view

  • Your filters: dates, guests, price, region

  • The property name or link if known

  • Your iPhone model, iOS version, and Buenro app version

6. FAQs

Q: Why are there fewer properties on the map than I expected?
A: The map shows only what is inside your current view. Zoom out or move the map to include more areas. Filters and live availability will also reduce results.

Q: Why did a property I saw earlier disappear?
A: It may have been booked for your dates or your filters changed. Reset filters and check again.

Q: Will list view ever show places outside the map?
A: No. List results follow your search and the same geographic area when filters and bounds match.
