The Timeline is your personal travel feed — a dynamic space where you can showcase upcoming adventures, see where friends are heading, and find groups to join. Whether you're curating, traveling, or just planning ahead, the Timeline makes it easy to signal where you'll be and when — turning your plans into opportunities to connect.
1. What Shows Up on My Timeline?
Your Timeline may include:
Upcoming reservations — shows destination, dates, and guest list
Trips — planned travel, even without a booking
Joinable bookings — group stays that are public or shared with you
Shared trips from friends or Circles (Feature coming soon)
Each entry may display:
City and country
Start and end dates
Property name and booking status (for confirmed reservations)
Option to view or request to join (if available)
2. How Do I Add or Edit a Trip?
To add or edit a trip:
Tap the plus icon in the navigation bar or open your Profile > Timeline
Tap "Add Trip" or select an existing one to edit
Choose your destination and travel dates
Optional:
Link a reservation
Set visibility (public, followers only, or private)
Note: Adding a Trip does not make a reservation. It's just a way to indicate future travel plans.
3. Who Can See My Timeline?
You control who sees your Timeline:
Go to Settings > Privacy
Choose Timeline visibility (feature coming soon):
Public — visible to everyone
Followers Only — visible to people who follow you
Private — visible only to you
You will also be able to hide individual reservations from your Timeline. For now, bookings can be marked either hidden or public.
4. What Is the Timeline For?
The Timeline helps you:
Keep track of your own travel plans
Coordinate with friends and mutuals
Discover joinable group stays nearby or in advance
This is especially helpful for:
Curators managing trips
Frequent travelers
Users open to shared plans and meetups
5. Tips for Using Timeline Well
Add Trips even if you haven’t booked yet — it’s a way to say “I’ll be in Lisbon this weekend”
Adjust visibility settings based on the type of trip
Use the Timeline to coordinate, not just record
6. What’s the Difference Between Trips, Reservations, and Bookings?
Buenro uses three travel terms:
Term | Description |
Trip | A user-created signal — “I’ll be in X from July 10–14” (no booking needed) |
Reservation | A confirmed stay with dates and guest list |
Booking | The full process — from setting up a group to confirming payment |
The Timeline can display all three. Only Trips are fully editable and private by default.
