The Map View lets you explore properties and groups visually — directly on a map. It's perfect for users who want to see where things are before deciding what to book. Whether you're planning a weekend in Porto or exploring group stays across Europe, the map gives you a location-first way to browse and compare.

1. How Do I Open the Map View?

You can access Map View from the Explore tab:

  • After entering a destination or applying filters

  • Tap the Map View button (at the bottom center of the screen)

  • The map will center on your selected area

If no destination is entered, the map defaults to a broader region (e.g. Europe).

2. What Do the Pins Mean?

Each pin on the map represents a property, group stay, or (in future releases) an event.

Pins may vary based on:

  • Icon or color – to distinguish types (e.g. property vs. group)

  • Labels – showing price, group size, or availability

  • Clusters – when multiple stays are close together, pins may group into a number until you zoom in

Tap any pin to reveal more details in a preview card.

3. What Are Map Cards?

Map Cards are small previews that appear when you tap a pin. They may show:

  • Price per night

  • Name or image of the property or group

  • Basic availability or size

  • Action button to view the full listing

Tap the card to open the full property or group details.

Map Cards help you quickly compare options without switching views.

4. How Do Filters Work in Map View?

Map View supports the same filters as List View, including:

  • Price range

  • Bedrooms or guest capacity

  • Property type

  • Dates (if selected)

Filters applied in either Map or List View affect both — however, if you change filters in one view and switch to the other, you may need to zoom or pan slightly to refresh the display.

5. How Does Zooming Work?

As you zoom in, the map updates to show more detailed results:

Zoom Level

What You’ll See

1x (wide view)

Grouped pins showing general availability in a large area

2x (mid view)

Pins begin to separate into individual properties and groups

3x (close view)

Individual pins show precise placement, price, and listing previews (where available)

Some pending group stays may appear slightly offset from their actual location to protect privacy. This means the pin may not show the exact address until the group is confirmed.

6. Why Can’t I See My Group or Property on the Map?

If your group or property doesn’t appear where you expect:

Possible Reason

What to Do

You're zoomed out too far

Zoom in to see more detail

The group is pending

The location may be slightly offset

Filters are hiding it

Widen your filters or clear them

It's outside the current view

Pan the map manually to find the area

If nothing appears on the map at all, try switching to List View to confirm whether the listing is available.

7. Tips for Using Map View

  • Zoom in to discover stacked or hidden listings

  • Use filters in Map View directly — they apply instantly

  • Tap map cards to compare quickly before deciding

  • When you drag to an area the map will update automatically

  • Don’t forget that some group pins may be intentionally obscured

The map updates in real time — so feel free to explore, zoom, and filter as much as you like.
