1) From within the Project, click on the ‘Financial’ menu option.
FYI - The title for this menu option can be changed in System Settings System Configuration Display Settings.
2) Select Financial Statement Creation Method – Then click on the green plus symbol.
(For this example, we selected ‘Based on Budget Overview’.
NOTE: Once you select a method, that same method will need to be used for the duration of that project.
NOTE: Select the creation method first – then click on the green + symbol - +.
3) You will need to Publish the Budget before you can proceed with creation of a Financial Statement. You can either ‘Publish & Notify’ or ‘Just Publish’. Select your option from this screen:
4) You can give it a Label if you want to, but this is not required. Then click on ‘Accept’:
5) At this point, it is recommended that you take the Project Offline unless you want the client to be notified immediately about this Financial Statement. Click on gear in upper right corner and toggle the Project setting from ‘Online’ to ‘Offline’.:
6) Click on ‘SEND’:
7) Click on ‘Send to Client’:
NOTE: With the Project ‘Offline’, NO notification will be sent to the Client. This will create a zero-dollar invoice (Financial Statement):
8) Click on the Dollar symbol to the right of the Deposit:
9)Enter the Deposit amount, payment method, etc:
10) The Available Credit will now appear, which can then be applied to subsequent Financial Statements:
NOTE: If you turned the project ‘Offline’ in step 5 above, be sure to move it back to ‘Online’. No notifications will be sent until this has been done.
