What are POs used for and how to send them out to your resources

What is a Purchase Order

Think of Purchase Orders as a contract between you and the assigned vendor/subcontractor.Β 

Purchase Order Workflow

Start by clicking the + button to start a new PO. You'll be able to enter in the following fields:
-PO Number: automatically assigned, or you can overwrite
-Title: title given to the PO
-Company: assigned company (if not in your contacts yet you can click the + next to Company field to create one)
-Description: scope of work, what needs to be done
-Tags: keywords for better search
-PO Terms: these are the terms and conditions that go out with this PO, these can be edited in the settings menu
-Reports: you can choose to include any related selections or specifications reports that have been added prior into those modules


​Calculation Details

Go into the calculation details tab to relate your PO to one of your budget categories and assign an amount.


Once done click Save and then Save and Send to send out to the assigned company.

The company will receive your PO email notification which they can act upon by clicking the Review button in the email message.

Here they can choose to Confirm or Reject the PO:


They'll be asked to sign:

Finally the project manager will be notified of the approval.
