Every order created in the Bukku MiniPOS app is automatically recorded in your Bukku account under MiniPOS > Orders.
These individual orders are consolidated into a daily sales summary, called a “Digest”, which is then synced into Bukku Accounting as a Digest through the Flow module.
Orders vs. Digests: What’s the Difference?
Order: An individual customer purchase recorded in MiniPOS.
Digest: A daily sales summary consolidating all MiniPOS orders for the day into one record in Bukku.
For example, if you have 10 orders in a day, these will be combined into 1 Digest and synced to Bukku Accounting.
Viewing Digest Details
If Auto Sync is enabled under Sync Settings in Stream Settings, sales data will automatically sync to the Flow module in Bukku on a daily basis, with the digest syncing at 6am the next day.
For example: An order dated 10/03 will be included in the digest and synced to the Flow module on 11/03 at 6am.
Navigate to Flow > MiniPOS to see the list of daily digests, including total daily revenue, invoice number (if posted), and sync timestamp and timestamp when the digest was synced to Bukku.
Click 'View' on a digest to view details, including:
Manually Syncing Digest to Flow
If auto-sync is disabled under Sync Settings in Steam Settings, you can manually sync sales data (Digest) to Flow by:
Navigating to Control Panel > Flow Stream.
Clicking the three dots next to 'Settings' under MiniPOS.
Selecting ‘Sync Now’ to update your digest.
Posting a Digest to an Invoice
If auto-posting to invoices is disabled under Invoice Settings in Stream Settings, you can manually post sales to an invoice after reviewing the Digest.
Go to Flow > MiniPOS > click the three dots next to 'View' at the digest > click ‘Post to Invoice’.
Once posted, you can check the invoice in Sales > Invoices. The sales amount will be recorded in your accounting ledger based on your Stream Settings & Mappings, ensuring that payments and sales revenue are properly tracked.
