The Healthy Cities mobile app is currently available in the following languages:

  • English (US)

  • Spanish (Spain)

  • Spanish (Latin America)

What text is translated in the Healthy Cities mobile app?

Any copy that is hard-coded into the user app is translated into the languages listed above. This includes your activity on your dashboard and your last sync time, your challenges, your user profile and settings, etc.

Which text is NOT translated in the Healthy Cities mobile app?

Please note that some content is not translated in Healthy Cities, including:

  • The full Healthy Cities Help Center (all user- and admin-facing articles)

  • All content in the content library

  • Announcements, your own content posts, and any other admin-required input, such as challenge names and descriptions. These will show in the language they were written.

  • Chat messages. These will show in the language they were written.

  • Healthy Cities technical support*

*A note on technical support and language translation

Healthy Cities technical support operates in English. However, if a user contacts the Healthy Cities support team in another language, the support team member will reply in English, and then share a translation of the reply via Google Translate to facilitate the conversation.

Best practices for a multi-lingual workforce

  • Ask a user's preferred language as a registration question when they sign up for a Healthy Cities account with your organization. This will allow you to send tailored announcements based on language preferences, since you can filter your announcements by your supplemental fields. You could also set up specific challenges for each language.

  • Consider including multiple languages in your announcements and content. This will allow users in your organization to reference the language that they prefer.
