If your Apple Watch isn’t syncing to Healthy Cities and you’ve already learned how to sync your Apple Watch to Healthy Cities, you’ll need to determine whether activity data is correct in Apple Health. Healthy Cities pulls your activity data from the Health app because it aggregates steps from your watch and phone.
Steps, distance, and minutes data should be correct here:
Activity Data isn’t Correct
If steps, distance, and minutes data in Apple Health don’t match your watch, you may need to adjust your source priorities:
Open the Health app
Tap your step count* for today
Scroll down and tap "Data Sources & Access"
Tap "Edit" at the top right corner
Use the lines next to your watch and iPhone to move your watch on top
Click "Done" at the top right to save your changes
Once your source priorities are adjusted, your current Apple Watch should be on the top.
*Note: After adjusting for your steps, you may need to repeat this process for Walking + Running Distance as well.
Activity Data is Correct
If steps, distance, and minutes data are correct in Apple Health but aren’t showing in Healthy Cities, you may need to confirm that you’ve given Healthy Cities access to steps data:
Open your phone's Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > Healthy Cities
Make sure all options are toggled "On" or are highlighted in green
Check Your Time Zone Setting
If your time zone in Healthy Cities isn't correct, this could be causing your syncing issues. Double-check your time zone by following the steps below:
From the dashboard, tap the 3 horizontal bars in the upper left corner
Tap Settings
Scroll down to the time zone field and tap to adjust if needed
