Challenge 25 Rule when ordering age-restricted items

At buymie, we follow the legal rule of ‘Challenge 25’ when it comes to the ordering of age-restricted items. This means that when an order contains any age-restricted items, all of our personal shoppers must check the recipient's accompanying ID before handing over the delivery if they believe the recipient is under the age of 25.

When the order is being delivered, and there’s more than one person to receive the delivery, our shoppers will request ID from all present parties should they feel that anyone is under the age of 25.

Please note that our personal shoppers reserve the right to refuse the delivery of alcoholic products if adequate photographic ID or proof of age isn’t shown when requested.

In accordance with government legislation, buymie shoppers are only permitted to purchase alcohol during certain hours of the day. Therefore, it may not be possible to fulfil orders with alcohol items outside of those hours.


We take our responsibility to follow the laws regarding the delivery of age-restricted items purchased on buymie very seriously. So, if you do happen to order age-restricted items through our app, please make sure that appropriate proof of age is available when our personal shoppers arrive to deliver your order to avoid any dissatisfaction.
